Want to Support Democracy (With a Side of Fun) This Summer?
The LWVAA event calendar is here to help!
- July 17, attend a Good Trouble Lives On event.
- On Tuesdays in July, attend the Pan Am Hillside Concert Series. LWVAA volunteers will be there every week, registering voters.
- Support your local government:
- Throughout July, Austin City Council members will be holding town hall meetings on the 2025 - 2026 city budget. This is your chance to make your priorities known. Find your council district here, and find links to the town halls on our event calendar.
- Attend the July 24 Austin City Council meeting.
- On August 1, attend a screening of the short film Dying to Vote followed by Born in the Struggle, part of the Austin Film Society's Pan African Film Festival. LWVAA is a promotional partner for these films, so be on the lookout for a ticket giveaway!
- Mark your calendar for August 14 and the LWVAA mixer at the Brewtorium! No speaker, just a chance to take a break and build community. The mixer is open to the public, so tell your friends and neighbors -- better yet, bring them along!
- Are you a VDR? Find volunteer opportunities to register voters at the Alamo Drafthouse, The Hillside Concert series, or the Good Trouble Lives On events.
