  • July 28: Zoom in to attend TX Lege 101 at 8:00 p.m. Hosted by Hands Off Central Texas in partnership with LWVAA, you'll learn how to make your voice heard at the Capitol both in person and from home. You'll learn what it means to "drop a card" at the Capitol; how to write testimony; and how to make calls and write emails so that you can maximize your impact however you choose to advocate! 
  • August 1: Attend a screening of the short film Dying to Vote followed by Born in the Struggle, part of the Austin Film Society's 2025 Pan African Film Festival. LWVAA is proud to partner with the Austin Film Society on the 2025 Pan African Film Festival. Use discount code LWV4 for $4.00 off your tickets (limit 2 per person).
  • August 2: Support local organizations championing reproductive health, rights, and justice at the Reproductive Access Market in Austin hosted by Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas
  • August 5: Zoom in to attend the Brennan Center's panel on The Rise of the Imperial Presidency -- historians and legal experts will examine the modern presidency and the origins of the unitary executive theory and its implications for the future of checks and balances.
