🚨 We need your help delivering the Voters Guide to our community 🚨
Copies of our Voters Guide don't magically appear in the community -- they get there because people like you lend a hand. If you can drive, lift a box, or rally a friend, this is your moment! 💪🗳️
We need volunteers to help distribute the LWV Voters Guide this Friday, February 6!
📍 Pick up: ACES A/C Supply Warehouse, 1810 Rutherford Ln
🚗 Then: Deliver Guides to local distribution sites across Austin

☎️ 📧 🎤 LOCAL ACTION - Contact City Council about the installation of AI surveillance cameras in Austin city parks and pools. There are concerns that the use of these cameras may lead to the increased unjust criminalization of communities of color and unhoused neighbors in Austin. LWVAA has joined other local organizations in advocating against the implementation of these cameras. Learn more here.

💌 Help LWVAA Get Out the Vote for the Primary
Address postcards to help turn out the vote for the March 3 primary election. LWVAA will provide pre-printed cards, pens, address lists, and postage. Drop by one of the locations listed below to address cards. Don't forget to bring a friend!

💌 Be an Election Protection volunteer!
The League of Women Voters, a member of the Election Protection Coalition, needs volunteers to monitor the polls during early voting and on Election Day. Volunteers empower voters with accurate voter information, document any problems voters might have at the polls, and report barriers to voting.
Virtual Training is provided February 3 - 28 on Tuesdays at 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

🗣️ Help Launch the LWVAA Speakers Bureau
The Speakers Bureau will educate and inform the public about voting and voting-related issues. Frankly, at this point, it’s never been more important! We’ll also increase public understanding about the League and its mission while building relationships with other community organizations. In addition to speakers, we need volunteers to train presenters, to help and maintain our presentation library, and to coordinate speaker requests. You can learn more here.
Interested? Complete this short survey to let us know where you'd like to help. We'll add you to the invitation list for our kickoff meeting later this month.
